Adventure by Dog sledding to Khagiin Nuur

An amazing journey of 10 days, including 7 days at the back of a sled in total autonomy, in the snowy Gorkhi-Terelj National Park.

The Mongolian land covered of snow is awaiting you for a thrilling journey, for which you’ll be leading a sled of 5-6 dogs on the frozen rivers on the region. The trip takes place 80 km away from the capital, before taking you deeper in the countryside, where you will slide over Khagiin Khar Nuur Lake and further North in the Park.

A surprising journey taken under the rhythm of Alaska and Greenland dogs, with the help of our 20 year-experienced musher.

A real gorgeous white setting at the gates of the capital : rocky formations sculpted by erosion, mountains tree-filled with pines, plains scattered with wild flowers and edelweiss, rivers and lakes.
  • We’ll slide through a magical scenery until reaching the camp of a nomadic family at Bosgiin Guur. Enkhtaivan and Mungoo will give us a warm welcome, after this first amazing day.

  • Facing such scenery, we go further north on the Khagiin River. Once on the top of the plateau, let's enjoy the stunning panorama... We will reach the lake Khagiin Khar, which is the largest of the 20 lakes in Khentii range. Although, it is a remote place, some people can be seen around for fishing trout or perch that are abundant during summertime.
  • The pace has slow-down a bit to let us observe the magnificent scenery and the spoors left by the wild animals. Back to our camp in mid-afternoon, where the team is awaiting us. Preparation of the dinner and the food for our dogs, chopping wood and sipping hot tea around the fire place.
