The spirit of travel

At twilight, in the golden valleys of Khustai, the squat silhouettes of Przewalski's horses stand out against the Mongolian horizon. These takhi, direct descendants of prehistoric horses, remain the only equids that man has never domesticated. They graze freely in this protected nature reserve, just a few hours from Ulan Bator.

The itinerary first takes you to the watering points where these legendary horses come to drink at the end of the day, offering privileged observation moments. You then explore the archaeological remains of the Huns scattered throughout the park, witnesses to a thousand-year history, before riding across the steppe along the Tuul River. Accommodation in a host's ger immerses you in traditional nomadic hospitality.

This three-day getaway reveals the very essence of Mongolia: preserved landscapes where wildlife evolves in freedom, authentic nomadic culture and the rare emotion of observing the last truly wild horses in the world.
