Educate is a nonprofit organization founded over 25 years ago with the mission to provide access to education for every child.

Committed to building a better world, the Educate association has made it its mission to offer disadvantaged children quality education by constructing schools in extraordinary locations: the deserts of Africa, mountain regions, and the steppes of Mongolia.

By placing education at the heart of its work, Educate invests in a brighter future. Operating from the conviction that schools represent one of the strongest safeguards against extremism and discrimination, it becomes a matter of collective interest to ensure the right to education for all.

Since its founding, Educate has demonstrated the profound impact education has on life:

- Education as a pathway forward: by providing early childhood education to all children starting in preschool, it prevents academic failure in primary school and builds confidence.

- Education saves lives: education enables better understanding of health and disease. Children of educated, literate parents have a 50% greater chance of growing up healthy.

- Education empowers women: an educated woman can more easily defend herself against exclusion and discrimination. An educated man can more readily recognize women as his equal.

A Solidarity Journey with Educate

Horseback Mongolia partners with the Educate association to provide nomadic children of the steppes with mobile kindergartens housed in yurts.

Educating nomadic children presents challenges given their ancestral way of life. Herders live in harmony with nature across Mongolia's vast steppes, sometimes far removed from urban centers. In 2016, Educate built its first school in the small village of Ulaan Am in the @[Orkhon Valley](orkhon_valley). Since this mobile kindergarten opened, children learn in warmth even during winters when temperatures plummet to around -35°C. In a safe environment with a welcoming and convivial atmosphere, learning flourishes.

It falls to each of us to become an Educ'Actor today by participating in projects to build mobile kindergartens across the Mongolian steppes.
