Just 20 km from Ulaanbaatar, Gachuurt village stretches along the Tuul River. Horse trekking, mountain biking, canoeing, and the Playtime festival—Mongolian nature within reach of the capital.

The charming village of Gachuurt lies 20 km east of Ulaanbaatar. It unfolds along the banks of the Tuul River, which comes alive each summer with picnickers and outdoor enthusiasts, positioned at the edge of Gorkhi-Terelj National Park and the strictly protected Khan Khentii zone.

This peaceful village is a haven for open-air activities—canoeing, mountain biking, hiking on foot and horseback. As a rapidly expanding suburb of the capital, it has become a favored address among affluent Mongols building homes on the hillsides overlooking the settlement. The village also hosts the beloved Playtime Music Festival every summer.
