Jargalant is one of the sums of the Arkhangai province, founded in 1931, and covering an area of 3,842 km². It comprises five villages (Asait, Khoolt, Erdene Uul, Zuslan and Bayantsagaan, which is the sum's center). The northern part of the sum, bordering the Khövsgöl region, is mountainous, covered with larch, cedar, birch and aspen forests. This sum is known for woodworking, the making of traditional gers and furniture, saddlery and its herds of sheep and yaks. The eastern part of the sum is crossed by the Chuluut river, which flows to meet the Ider river. Wooden houses are predominant here.

In this sum, we work with several families from the Ar Arvidjin Delgerekh yak herders' cooperative, who offer small groups the opportunity to discover the various activities related to yak herding, as well as other nomadic activities.
