Öndör Ulaan is one of the sums of the Arkhangai province, founded in 1931 and composed of five villages (Azarga, Bayangol, Belkhi, Dongoi and Khanui). It is the area that records the largest number of yaks in Mongolia: there are 42,000 of them. In the south-east of the sum, lies the Öndör Ulaan mountain, which reaches 2,142 meters.

We work in this sum with several families from the Ar Arvidjin Delgerekh yak herders' cooperative, who offer you in small groups the opportunity to discover the various activities linked to yak herding, as well as other nomadic activities.
