Selecting equipment properly suited to Mongolie is essential, particularly for trips with multiple nights under canvas, especially during trekking expeditions.

We provide three-person tents for two people from Décathlon's professional range or North Face brand. Our tents are replaced every three years. We also have winter tents for off-season circuits.

We now manufacture our own ground mats, using the frames of old self-inflating mattresses, lined with two layers of felt, which creates a thick but bulky mattress. During self-guided treks, we also use self-inflating mattresses that require frequent replacement. In fact, the way travelers use them (placing them directly on grass) is not appropriate and they puncture quickly. For added safety, you may bring your own mattress.

We also provide a sleeping bag, even when you don't have a night under canvas, for nights staying with local families.

For nights under the tent, these are lined sleeping bags (two bags, one inside the other). We also have winter down duvets for off-season circuits. We ask you to bring your own duvet liner (sleeping bag sheet) for hygiene reasons. You may also appreciate bringing a pillow. Note also that you should bring your own towel (not provided at local homes, nor of course during nights under canvas, only at yurt camps).

Also, for all circuits involving nights under canvas, we provide a mess tent (for cooking), a sanitary tent, and a portable shower. For all circuits, you'll have a camping table and chairs plus all necessary kitchen and meal equipment.

During self-guided treks, the guide has access to an Iridium satellite phone for emergencies only (no non-essential calls).

Conditions for traveling in Mongolie can be challenging, with the country having little or no infrastructure and changeable climate.
