The Mukhart River, whose name means dead end in Mongolian, is a small stream flowing for some twenty kilometers along the Bor Khyar dunes, forming a pleasant oasis where poplars and sea buckthorn thrive. The source of this little river is a truly magical place, as the water literally springs from the immense and highly photogenic Bor dune. As spontaneously as it is born, the river vanishes further downstream into the dunes.
