The spirit of travel

The turquoise waters of Khar Lake shimmer in the middle of the dunes, defying all logic in this remote province of Zavkhan. This land of contrasts reveals its secrets to patient travelers: springs miraculously gushing from the sand, rock arches sculpted by the winds, nomadic families perpetuating gestures thousands of years old.

The itinerary draws a loop from Ulan Bator to the Khangai monasteries, then gradually ventures westward. Karakorum unveils the remains of Genghis Khan's empire, the Orkhon valley offers its waterfalls and encounters with local families, the volcanic lakes of Terkhiin Tsagaan prepare for the wonders of Zavkhan. Here, Mount Otgontenger dominates a landscape where desert and mountain influences blend together.

This unspoiled province remains one of the last frontiers of authentic Mongolie, far from classic circuits. Between nomadic immersion and contemplative hiking, the journey reveals an intimate Mongolie, shaped by space and silence.
