Horseback Mongolia, Partner of the Asia Pacific Bike Ride 2015
Oct 22, 2015The standout event of the 2015 season was undoubtedly the Asia Pacific Bike Ride, which took place from September 25-28 and drew participants from around the globe (16 different countries) competing in a cycling race for charity.
The event rotates to a different country each year, and this year Mongolie was selected from among several candidates.
The Horseback Adventure agency takes pride in having contributed to organizing an event of this scale. It was a genuine success, despite challenging weather conditions late in the tourist season.
For the occasion, we produced a brief commemorative video using a drone that captures stunning aerial views of the race:
In total, 110 participants set out across the Mongolian steppe in the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park region, just tens of kilometers from the capital Ulaanbaatar. Over nearly 100km and across 2 days, our cyclists braved the wind, snow, and dropping temperatures (reaching -10°C in the mornings) to secure an impressive victory that would benefit the Mongolian nonprofit Tsolmon-Ireedui Foundation, which provides comfort and education to impoverished children in Ulaanbaatar.
It was a truly meaningful human adventure—not only for the determined participants who tackled numerous mountain passes, but also for our English-speaking teams who gave their all to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests in Mongolie.Charlène NomadaysAn early SEO writer at Nomadays who evolved into content manager and head of communications, Charlène has accompanied the adventure from its inception with passion and dedication.
