Horseback Mongolia is proud to present its latest video production, the result of a collaboration with two talented young filmmakers whose work speaks for itself!

A little over a year ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming to Mongolia Lea Amiel and Nicolas Libersalle, a young English-speaking couple of filmmakers with exceptional talent and already credited with several successful videos such as Fragments of Iceland and The Lanzarote Effet.

They graciously accepted to travel with your favorite agency, Horseback Mongolia, to create a short film and showcase Mongolie! Thus began 3 weeks of adventure that took them across much of the country, from the Orkhon Valley to the Khongor Dunes in the Gobi Desert, passing through the Yol Canyon... They were notably accompanied by Deegii Hurd, a young guide from our agency who agreed to appear in the film as the lead actress!

Given the volume of footage shot and the desire to produce a high-quality film, editing spanned several months, and the snippets we received in the meantime only heightened excitement at Horseback Mongolia! Needless to say, the result exceeded our wildest expectations... Judge for yourselves:

The story centers on Deegii, who embarks on an initiatory journey to discover who she truly is.

As you'll have gathered, this is not simply a promotional video but a genuine tale brimming with poetry and philosophical reflection. It's particularly striking to note that the film's closing lines are drawn from a Mongolian poem by Hadaa Sendoo titled "The Wind", of which here is the text:

Coming naked Leaving naked When we were born There was the wind only When we die There will be the wind only In my dream You have stroked my dry hair and passed through The despaired stone mark of national boundaries You pass over the land with nothing You have kissed the quiet sky Roaring at the alive abjection Where will the fragrance of wind go Where will the retribution to wind come We know nothing about The tender wind The weeping wind The wandering wind The singing wind

Of course, the enchanting and deeply profound screenplay also serves as a gateway to admiring the array of Mongolian landscapes that unfold in succession, each one surely inspiring a desire to visit... And to say that Nicolas brings them to life is an understatement! The quality of cinematography is phenomenal, and you find yourself holding your breath so as not to miss a single frame.

The entire team at Horseback Mongolia is thrilled to have contributed to the production of a film of such caliber, which we believe offers a magnificent glimpse of Mongolie!

As for you, we hope you'll enjoy it just as much and won't hesitate to share it far and wide :)
