Düngenee Canyon
Düngenee Canyon
Nestled between Yoliin Am and the Khongor dunes, Düngenee Canyon is a secret of the Gobi Desert: a flowing stream, wild fauna, and mineral silence.
The Düngenee Canyon is located in Bayandalaï sum, southwest of Züün Saikhan mountain. The Düngenee region consists of a mountain pass and a beautiful valley that also features a canyon, not far from the Yol Valley (Yoliin Am).
This canyon lies at the base of a rocky cavity along which flows a 12 km stream. During summer, it's possible to encounter wild animals here, such as the black ibex, argali sheep, and Siberian argali.
From Yoliin Am, the route we take to reach the Khongor dunes passes through the splendid Düngenee region.
